Thinking about 11/11/11
When I'm writing this post the date is 11/10/2011. Right of I'll say that this is a Gregorian calendar date, made by people for sure, since people invented the calendar.
But tomorrow is a little special. Lots of spiritual minded people around the world are waiting, some anxiously, for tomorrow to arrive. What will happen, will anything happen? No one can say for sure. Some say "it" will happen when we sleep, some say it's an ongoing process and many doesn't believe anything will happen at all. In numerology the date is a special event but I'm not going to go into the numbers you should rather do a search since there are lots of writing on this subject. Right now the moon is also full which tend to have special impacts on peoples emotions and thoughts.
Still there are lots of questions.
What is known is that right now and over tomorrow, spread out over the whole day since we are talking about many different timezones, people are going to meditate and celebrate this special occurrence. And in it self this is significant, since it's quite well documented that when lots of people meditate together good things tend to spread everywhere. This phenomenon has been called the "Maharishi effect"
What do I believe?
Well, I look forward to being here tomorrow. Just like before opening presents on Christmas and you don't know if your going to get something special or if it's just another sweater.. But still, every day and every moment is an awakening. There is never any other moment then this moment and it has been like this since the dawn of time. Who can really say what will happen. But we'll all be here tomorrow and together we'll all find out.

..I started out this post with something else in mind and gradually drifted towards this particular topic. I might write about my original idea later, but part of the inspiration came from listening to the classic Opera by Händel - Lascia chi'o pianga from Rinaldo. I found this beautiful recording by the Czech mezzo-soprano Magdalena Kožená. I'll include the recording since it's well worth listening to. (The video I don't know about..)
